BREWDOG PLC – UK Modern Slavery Act Disclosure Statement 2025

This Disclosure Statement (“Statement”) is published pursuant to section 54(1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the “Act”) and is made on behalf of BrewDog PLC and all subsidiary companies in scope for the purposes of the Act (collectively referred to as “BrewDog”).

Our Commitment

BrewDog remains steadfast in its commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with laws prohibiting modern slavery, human trafficking, and forced labour. We continue to uphold a zero-tolerance approach to any form of exploitation within our operations and supply chains.

Our Business

BrewDog is a global brewer, retailer, and distributor of drinks, operating breweries, taprooms, bars, and hotels across the UK, USA, Europe, Australia, and Asia. We also work with franchise partners in markets including the Netherlands, Dubai, and Vietnam, among others.

In 2024, BrewDog reported turnover of £357 million and employed over 2,400 people globally. Despite a challenging trading environment, we continued to invest in sustainability, ethical sourcing, and employee welfare.

Our People

We directly employ over 2,000 individuals and engage third-party agencies where necessary. All employment relationships are governed by contracts that include provisions addressing modern slavery risks. We ensure compliance with employment laws and expect the same from our suppliers.

In 2024, BrewDog expanded its mental health support network, with over 200 trained Mental Health First Aiders, and continued its work as a Menopause Friendly Employer, winning recognition for employee wellness initiatives.

Supply Chain and Risk Management

BrewDog sources goods and services globally. We maintain rigorous supplier onboarding processes, requiring:

  • Positive disclosure statements confirming compliance with anti-slavery laws

  • Adherence to BrewDog’s procurement standards and Workplace Code

  • Independent verification for high-risk categories, such as clothing and merchandise

In 2024, BrewDog continued to apply its risk matrix to identify and mitigate modern slavery risks across its supply chain. This matrix is reviewed regularly by senior leadership.

Policies and Governance

Our Workplace Code, launched in 2021, sets out expectations for ethical conduct and is embedded in supplier contracts. BrewDog’s policies prohibit child labour, forced labour, and human trafficking. Any breach results in immediate termination of business relationships and, where appropriate, reporting to authorities.

Training and Awareness

All BrewDog employees have access to e-learning modules covering anti-slavery, ethical conduct, and global compliance. Training records are maintained to ensure awareness and accountability.

Franchise Oversight

Franchise agreements include strict compliance requirements. BrewDog conducts financial, operational, and legal due diligence on all franchisees and provides ongoing training and access to welfare resources.
